by Elaine Helm After experimenting with live blogging during the presidential debate last week, politics reporter Jerry Cornfield will be posting live updates and interacting with commenters again tonight during the vice presidential debate.
Several other bloggers have posted today about how the range of options for live coverage of political news has exploded during this election season. Over at 10,000 Words, Mark S. Luckie writes:
Not too long ago, millions of Americans would gather around the television to watch a presidential debate, then discuss it at the water cooler the next morning. Now, millions of people all over the world gather in front of their computers to blog, tweet, chat, upload and download information about the debates as they are happening.
In post called "Interactive News Viewing" on his Recovering Journalist blog, Mark Potts says he doesn't think news geeks and political junkies are the only ones trying to absorb the live political commentary.
How do you plan to follow the debate tonight or other events along the campaign trail? Will you watch on TV? Will you participate in your local newspaper's live blogging? Will you pay attention to political chatter on Facebook or Twitter? Share your answers in the following poll or post your comments below.
